Key Findings in July
Like main reconstruction needs, information needs saw a plateau in this round after several months of steady improvements. Across 2100 respondents in 14 districts, 76 percent claim they have access to the information they need to get reconstruction support. This is only a one percentage point improvement over May 2017. As in all previous rounds of the Community Perception Survey, a sizable gap remains between women and men in their reported access to necessary reconstruction information. This is not surprising as no meaningful changes to communications strategies and approaches have been made at a strategic level to better target women, marginalized, elderly or language minorities over the past six months, despite this consistent feedback from communities.
